Art
Dionysis Fotopoulos (Kalamata, 1943) is a Greek costume designer, set designer and painter. His brother was the equally great costume designer and set designer Vassilis Fotopoulos, who had won an award for the film adaptation of Zorba by Nikos Kazantzakis. Fotopoulos, unlike his brother, did more work for the theater. He worked at the National Theater where he designed sets and costumes for over 42 performances, his first work being Maria Lampadaridou-Pothos's "Electra's Dance" in 1971 and his last in 2001. He also collaborated with the State Theater of Northern Greece for approximately 23 performances, while he had collaborated with the National Opera and for many years was a permanent collaborator of Karolos Koun.
