F. Monteiro JĂșnior began his writing journey at the age of 15, when he published the supernatural crime novel "As Sete Vidas do Gato" (1998), through the local cultural incentive law A. Tito Filho. This was followed by "A Obscuridade Humana"(1999), published by EDUFPI, the publishing house of the Federal University of PiauĂ (UFPI), and "O Confidente" (2003), awarded by the PiauĂ State Foundation for Culture and Sports (FUNDEPI) in the Novel category - Fontes Ibiapina Award in 2001. He entered audiovisual production in 2004, writing and directing "No Meio do Caminho", a medium-length film made with friends. This was followed by "Insone" (2005), a suspense short film that won the Best Film award at the PiauĂ Festvideo; the docudrama "Dona Maria" (2010), about loneliness and abandonment in old age; "Qualquer Hora Dessas", a feature film awarded in 2012 for Best Screenplay and Best Actress at the Encontro Nacional de Cinema dos SertĂ”es; the documentary short film "Estado da Arte: Adriano Abreu" (2017), which also received awards for screenplay and cinematography; and "Estalos" (2023), awarded in the first film call of the state through the PiauĂ Secretary of Culture - Secult-PI, selected and awarded in various festivals across the country. Graduated in Psychology and Journalism, he holds a Master's degree in Literature, wrote film reviews between 1999 and 2014 for print newspapers, and has taught film workshops since 2006.
