Steven Universe as a show was great. The film is a brilliant homage to the show and is a good bridge to the Future epilogue mini-series.

Having Spinel pop up out of nowhere with no backstory was a little strange, but it was made up by the fact that the main characters didn't know who she was either. It really put the audience in the same shoes as the Crystal Gems. Her character arc was nice to see, even in such a short amount of time.

Parasyte: The Grey 2024

It was pretty faithful to Parasyte: The Maxim (I'm referring to that as that is the only other Parasyte material I've seen) and had a good story to go along with it with a nice balance of the typical body horror you'd find in Parasyte. Nothing that bad, but it may be a bit much for some at times.

Pretty great watch! Not too much to say about it, but it'd definitely be one I'd watch again. That ending scene really reminded me of Christine Chubbuck's suicide, what a weird parallel.

Nostalgia sings loud with this one for me, I admit that. It has great story and characters, with a brilliantly done balance between the lycanthropic and mundane human aspects of the show. The shift from fairly rural Stoneybridge to an unnamed city is a little off-putting, but the story is nicely led by Jana from then on, showing her progression as a 'Wild' in a 'Tame' world among humans.

Very immersive storytelling and execution with the theme of 'us vs them' which is great. Having the story being told from Wednesday's perspective is a great touch. A good watch if you like The Addams Family, though it does focus more on Wednesday in particular. Hoping to see it again soon for Season 2.

I enjoy games like this, its got great cives - music, colorways, etc. However the pixelation is hard to get over. I know its part of the vibe, and its totally my opinion.
